    A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1978 and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) since 1994, Gene is a longstanding member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Planning Association. He spends many hours each year keeping up with the latest tax pronouncements and tax court decisions.

    Gene uses an educational approach to help his clients build retirement-planning solutions that seek to minimize potential tax burdens.

    Gene is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee and its Portfolio Management Subcommittee.

    In addition to serving his clients, Gene applies his financial acumen by serving on Boards of several local non-profit religious, educational and veterans organizations. He is also an active member of the business community, having served many years as a Director and two terms as the President of a local chamber of commerce.

    Gene and his wife Joyce live in Milton, New Hampshire and have seven grown, married children.

    David joined Charter Oak Capital Management in the Summer of 2014, bringing with him more than three decades of investment management experience. Prior to Charter Oak, David was a Vice President in Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley.

    At Charter Oak, David’s approach to investing embraces a macro view of the markets in conjunction with long-term client relationships and advice for life.

    David is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee and its Portfolio Management Subcommittee.

    Active in the community, David serves on the Finance Committee for MaineHealth and volunteers with his family in many projects and activities.

    David enjoys outdoor activities, gardening and collecting wines from around the world. He and his wife Lauren live in Ogunquit, Maine and have two adult children.

    Sarah joined Charter Oak Capital Management in the Fall of 2015, returning to financial planning after serving as Director of Finance and Legal at Adaptive Communications (now Optiv). Prior to that, Sarah spent four years in wealth management and financial planning at Morgan Stanley.

    An attorney and Certified Financial Planner®, Sarah brings an organized and empathic approach to her client relationships. Working together, Sarah assists clients in setting and achieving goals in order to live the life they envision.

    Sarah is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee and its Behavioral Finance Subcommittee.

    Sarah is active in various community organizations. She is a member of the Seacoast Women’s Giving Circle, a former Vice President of the Seacoast Repertory Theatre Board of Trustees and a 2012 graduate of Leadership Seacoast.

Originally David served as the Manager of Business Planning and Development for the International Silver Corporation. In 1982 he joined Prudential Securities as a financial advisor and began working with individuals, small businesses owners and corporate executives. Prior to joining Charter Oak David was a Vice President in Wealth Management with Morgan Stanley in New Haven Connecticut.

Subsequently he began working with individuals in the field of investment management as a financial advisor with Prudential Securities and later Morgan Stanley.

His practice is focused on providing clients with unique, customized and understandable solutions. By seeing the big picture and analyzing all of its moving parts David assists his clients in clarifying the path to achieve their ultimate goals and objectives.

At Charter Oak David focuses on a comprehensive financial management process to build upon accumulated wealth of clients while balancing the need for capital preservation and family values. This approach of investing embraces a macro view of the markets in conjunction with long-term client relationships and advice for life.
